Fun with the Everson Girls

We were supposed to get together with my good friend Ashley from work (and her family) weeks ago, but then I came down with pink eye and we had to cancel. We rescheduled for today and decided to have a play date with the girls. Her daughter Vaughan is just a few months older than Leah and Ashley just had her second baby girl (Quinn) in March. Leah and Vaughan have played together in the past, but it has been far too long. They both were really excited to see each other. We got to their house just after 10:00 am and of course Leah was a bit shy at first, but warmed up after Vaughan gave her a tour of her room and showed her where the toys were. Ashley and I got to catch up a bit (since she just returned from maternity leave) while the girls played. We went in the backyard and they played on the slide and blew some bubbles. We came inside for a snack and let them play for a bit longer.
Around lunchtime we decided to head over to Old Orchard Mall to get something to eat and let the girls run around. They really took a liking to each other and walked hand-in-hand. It was so sweet!
It was beautiful outside, so we had lunch outside at Frontera Fresco. After a quick bite to eat we walked over to a little 'hill' play area that Vaughan loves. The girls seemed to have a good time! We staye just for a bit and then it was time to head home. It was almost an hour ride home and luckily Leah snoozed the whole way! Thanks Ashley, Vaughan and Quinn for a fun afternoon. We can't wait to do it again!
