Halloween Party #2

Leah just started kindergarten this year and has made many new friends (and kept her old ones too). I thought it would be a great idea to host a 2nd Halloween party with her school friends and their mom’s. I figured it would good opportunity to get to know other moms (and even to get to know the mom’s right here in my subdivision). The weather was much nicer on Sunday than it had been the day prior. It was actually perfect! The sun made it feel warmer than it actually was outside so we were able to be out there the majority of the time. I kept the bounce house for another day and made a few more goodies to eat. For this party, I had about 8 moms over and about 15 kids. It was so much fun! What a fun group of moms and a great group of kids!

Halloween Party #1

It has been a tradition with my friends for the past 5 years that we do a kids Halloween party. It is definitely one of my favorite get-togethers of the year! I started hosting them a few years ago, but for the past two years have handed off the reigns to the Potter’s and the Dygdon’s (life was just so busy)! This year, I decided to take it back and host the party again! We planned for Saturday afternoon and invited our usual crowd. Leah dressed up as a witch and Mason was a skeleton (and I truly think he thought he was a REAL skeleton).

Unfortunately, the weather was a bit colder than I would have liked, but hopefully the kids still had fun! (I know my kids did)! We had a bounce house, a few crafts, food, beverages and a piñata filled with goodies! Thanks to everyone for making this such a fun event!

By the end of the night – Mason passed out on the couch with pizza in-hand! LOL. We all went to bed early because we had to gear up for party #2 the next day!

Family Pictures 2015

A few weeks ago, we had our family pictures taken. We do pictures every year. I think the reason I do them so often is because growing up, we rarely had our pictures taken as a family. I think I may have 1 or 2 (professional) pictures of me, my mom, dad and brother all together. To make up for it, I put my kids through the ringer every year to make sure we have great family photos! LOL.

For the past several years we've been using Rose Alene Photography and I absolutely adore her! She is so wonderful with my kids and she always exceeds my expectations with the pictures. I first used Rose when Mason was born and she came to our house for a family session. I continued to use her year after year. This was our 4th session with her. As usual, I was extremely pleased with what she captured! Seriously....if you need a photographer...I highly recommend her! I even got my brother and family setup with her too!

Here are a few pics from our session! We went to Eaton Preserve in Plainfield. It was perfect!
