Mason's Room is Done (practically)

Mason's room is finally done! We've been putting it off, putting it off and next thing you know we are only a couple of weeks before his arrival. We still need to get a few more accessories, but for the most part, his room is complete! It is such a relief and a big item checked off my list! Leah was Daddy's little helper and tried to help wherever she could! Thank you Rob and Leah for getting this done!!

Happy Anniversary, Rob! It's been a wonderful three years of marriage! It sure has gone by fast! You are an amazing husband and father!

Lake Geneva

We had bought a Groupon for a night-stay in Lake Geneva months ago. Once we found out we would be taking this whole week off, we figured it would be the perfect time to use it! We left the house around 10:00 am on Tuesday. We stopped by my Dad's house first to drop Sushi off and then we hit the road! We made good timing and got there just before noon. Lucky for us, they allowed us to do an early check-in (otherwise, check-in was not until 3:00 pm).
As soon as Leah saw the pool, she knew that is where she wanted to start the afternoon! She couldn't wait to get her suit on and hit the water. We stayed at The Cove and they had a pool for little ones and then a larger pool for bigger kids and adults. The kid's pool was only a foot deep and had a 'mushroom' waterfall and a pirate ship with two small slides. Leah was in heaven and must have went down the slide at least 40 times (not exagerating). There were only a few kids in the pool so it was perfect.
After 'swimming' for about an hour, we decided it was time to grab some lunch. We walked around for a bit. I had to go slow because I was having some pains in my belly. We stopped at a little bar and grill 'Hogs and Kisses' and just ordered an appetizer for lunch since it was later in the afternoon.
Near by, there was a candy shop that we had to make a stop at! I picked up some fudge for my dad and we got a few sweet treats for ourselves. We walked around the pier and the lake and headed back to the resort. Of course, once we got there all Leah could talk about was going back to the pool. We put our bathing suits back on and went back by the water. We spent about another hour and a half at the pool before going back to our room to relax for awhile.
Later in the evening, Brandon and his girlfriend Danielle came and met us at our resort and had dinner with us. There was a restaurant in our hotel that had a pretty good menu so that is where we decided to go. After we ate, we took a walk down to the beach and looked at the fish and duckies in the water. Leah really liked the sand and the water. She wanted to go in! Leah and Brandon had fun throwing rocks in the water before heading back home.
The days festivities must have wiped Leah out because she slept until almost 9:00 am this morning! When she woke up, we decided to take her to the pool one last time (since check-out was at 11:00 am). We were the ONLY people at the pool, so we had the entire place to ourselves (which was nice). We only stayed about a half hour and surprisingly, Leah told us she was ready to go.

Momma as big as a house! ugh...
We came back to the room, packed up and headed home! Even though we only stayed for one night we still had a great time! Leah was on her best behavior and was a perfect little girl!
