Leah's 6th Birthday with Friends

Leah will be turning 6 in just a few days. This past weekend we had her birthday party with her friends. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned. We were doing a princess themed party at this cute little art studio in downtown Plainfield. Leah invited 10 of her girlfriends and they painted a canvas of a princess with glitter finishing touches! It was so stinkin cute!!

However, in the middle of the party, things took a turn. Out of nowhere Leah started to not feel well at all. She was crying and said her stomach and head hurt. She looked very pale and felt warm. Rob has just dropped off the lunch, so I texted him to come back and take her home. Leah ended up having to skip out on her own party! She really must not have been feeling well if she wanted to leave her birthday. Poor girl missed out on lunch, the girls singing happy birthday and cupcakes! I felt really bad for her and I know all the girls were sad she had to leave. The girls had lunch and then finished painting. I hope everyone still had fun even though Leah had to leave. When I got home, she was sleeping on the couch. She was not feeling well all weekend and slept a lot. She ran a high fever too. We had to take a rain check for our Valentine's Day plans. I just want the birthday girl to be healthy for her big day!!
