Saturday night we had tickets to the Bull’s game! It has been YEARS since I have been to a game – Michael Jordan was still playing! Rob had gotten 4 tickets through work and we asked my cousin and her fiancé to go with us. They have babysat for us a few times and we wanted to say ‘thank-you.’ We picked them up and were on our way to the United Center. Traffic was horrible and it took over an hour to get there. I haven’t been to the UC in a long time. We had excellent seats – club level right in the center. We had a perfect view of everything. We were seated just behind all of the TV cameras. We got there just in time as they were announcing the players. It was exciting! They did do a moment of silence in recognition of the Newton, CT tragedy. It was very touching and a little overwhelming. I am glad they took the time to acknowledge the victims and the pain many are feeling. Sister Hazel (love them) then sang the National Anthem. I always get a little teary eyed over it.
The game was a good time! The Bulls were playing the Nets and Kris Humphries (Kim Kardashian’s ex) plays for that team. Wow – that guy got lots of BOO’S! It was fun to watch all of the entertainment during breaks. I like how they keep the crowd involved. Food and drinks were a joke though! We got 3 beers and it was $25! Later on we got food (fries and a hot dog) and a few more beers and it was almost $40. Wowsers. The Bulls won and it was nice to get out! It was something different to do!
